Why Major in Economics?
Wednesday March 4, 11-11:50 AM, Lecture Center C6
All students are invited to attend this information session on the economics major. It will consist of four parts:
1) A presentation by three seniors who are majoring in economics. They will share their personal stories about why they have found it exciting to be majoring in economics.
2) A presentation by Professor Evelyn Lehrer, Director of Undergraduate Studies. She will discuss the range of possible career paths for economics majors, drawing on the real stories of our alumni – students who graduated with a BA in economics from UIC and are now in the labor market, pursuing diverse, interesting careers.
3) A presentation by Professor So-Yoon Ahn. She will provide further information about jobs for students who graduate with a BA in economics and their earnings in the labor market. Such earnings are high compared to those of other majors.
4) A question/answer session about the economics major.
We hope to see many of you there!
