Econ 120 or Econ 121 Restrictions
Certain sections of both Econ 120 and Econ 121 are intended only for College of Business Administration students and are closed to students in any other major. These CBA-only sections are 3-credit hours, and consist of only a lecture, with no discussion section. Any student in any other college, regardless of major or minor, must take our standard 4-credit hour Econ 120 and 121 courses, which consist of a lecture and corresponding discussion section. CBA students are restricted from enrolling in standard 4-credit sections.
For Spring 2023 Registration:
If you are a College of Business Administration student, the CBA sections for spring 2023 are as follows: Econ 120 (CRN 36916, 36917) and Econ 121 (CRN 36926, 36927). CBA’s special sections bypass the discussion requirement, but you must choose both the CRN for the lecture section and the matching discussion-placeholder section in order to successfully register.
If you are in any other college, you can register for one of our standard 4-credit hour sections of Econ 120 for spring 2023 (CRN 16781 or 36912) or Econ 121 (CRN 24454 or 16787). Be sure to select both your chosen lecture and a corresponding discussion section to successfully register. You cannot register for the 3-credit hour CBA sections of Econ 120 or 121, as those are only for current CBA students.
