As a public institution, we pride ourselves on providing a quality education that remains affordable to students. The table below includes approximate costs of the entire MA degree based on current 2024-2025 tuition rates. Please note that these rates do not include the international student fee ($130 each in fall and spring, $65 in summer) or the cost of campus healthcare. Tuition and fee rates also vary slightly from one year to the next, meaning costs for the 2025-2026 academic year may increase slightly.
UIC tuition costs are determined based on a number of factors, including in-state versus out-of-state student residency as well as the total number of credits taken per term. Typically, MA courses are 4 credits each.
